Corridors IVCorridors - Chicago
Downers Grove, IL
Description: Corridors IV -- designed in partnership with world-renowned architect, Helmut Jahn -- rethinks the suburban office building, aligning the workplace with the way business is done today. The inaugural speculative office built to the standards of the technologically enabled, highly networked corporate user, Corridors IV is the first "3P" building, a pioneering solution that isolates the business drivers that challenge today's workplace -- people, process and place. The two-building 470,000 SF office complex overlooking the I-88 and I-355 expressways and the dramatic 1,700-acre Morton Arboretum takes a unique approach to corporate office space through its visionary design and technological backbone.
The building will pioneer a suite of green building, sustainable design and performance elements and is expected to be LEED certified by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) the first in the history of the Chicago suburbs.
Corridors IV advances the suburban office building and creates a true integration between human, natural and financial capital. The planning concept for Corridors IV creates an exciting urban environment in a suburban setting which will foster teamwork, interaction and mobility, which characterize today's knowledge workers. Like Corporate America, the younger generation poised to dominate the workforce are more socially conscious and demanding in terms of the environment. Corridors IV articulates a harmony between nature and commerce with its presence at the boundary of the magnificent Morton Arboretum.
