Secondary Markets on the Rise: 2018 CRE Predictions

One of the biggest changes we can expect to see in commercial real estate this year is a not-so-gradual shift of focus from gateway markets to secondary and tertiary markets.

Richard Gatto, Executive Vice President at Alter, recently wrote a piece for SIOR Pulse on how secondary markets will be an investment focus in 2018. Because of the saturation of major gateway markets like New York, Chicago, and Washington D.C., investors are seeing greater opportunities in these smaller U.S. markets.
